Goldilocks & Baby Bear
Goldilocks and Baby Bear. That's what we were supposed to be for Halloween. Well, there is a twist... Joshua was not going to be Baby Bear, though if you saw the one piece bear costume Emily and I made for him several years ago (captioned below), there would be an encore for sure. That, and I think Joshua would be a sight in a skirt. I vetoed his costume idea that involved placing a sheep in an compromising position on his body. Yep, Joshua grew up on a farm. The stories I haven't heard.
We would have attended the Halloween parties we were invited to (I know, I'm surprised that we have friends, too) but getting us to leave the house is like trying to squeeze the last dab of toothpaste from a crusty tube. The wildest thing we will have done this year is play a drinking game to Antiques Roadshow. We hear the description of the item, put the show on pause at the conclusion of the facts (thank goodness for Tivo), write down our individual estimates, and then resume view to find out whose bid was the closest. The person who guesses closest takes a drink. I always win, which means I always loose. That's as crazy as we get. At home. In pajamas. Bottle of wine. Woo freak'n hoo.
This weekend will be another rave-like event. Me in my cubby finishing a paper. Joshua in his man chair-power station, creating new spreadsheets. Only a couple more of those wknds until semester five is over. Can't come soon enough. *Hearing Joshua in the back of my mind, "That's what she said."* Oh dear.
Sending love from us four kitties.
