Joshua's Update
I am apparently close to ending my repetitive trek to Birmingham, Al that I've been making since last July. I may be done at the end of June and from there I plan on doing a whole lot of 9-to-5's in the Houston office and take a lot of long coffee and lunch breaks as I try to get back in a normal schedule again. I miss being home with my 3 cats at night.
The Cardinals are beginning to creep out of their funk. They keep finding new ways to make this season a struggle but I'm pretty sure now that they are tired of getting humiliated and will continue to fight for wins. They don't have the raw talent that they've enjoyed since 2004 but they are pretty damn scrappy at this point and I'd much rather see them struggle into the playoffs than coast in as the previous 3 years have clearly shown. Through all the struggles this year it is still early June and they are down 6.5 games to the upstart Brewers who are, conceivably, playing well above there natural level. As long as no one else catches fire (read: Cubs/Astros), we will be okay. Both Mulder and Carpenter are coming back, our MV3 should produce at near historical levels or at least better than the beginning of the season and the injury bug should subside long enough for us to get some streaks going.
In other news, I'm a disgusting fat-body and I may need diet intervention soon. I either eat unbelievably healthy or really terrible.
Case in point: This weekend I consumed 2 whole frozen pizzas, 8 mini corndogs, 1 huge ham sandwich, 1 BBQ plate, 2 ice cream sandwiches, 2 slices of peach pie (to my credit I had ice cream only once with the two slices), 8 or 10 Sushi rolls and an estimated 15 beers. I can't seem to think of an example of eating really healthy but you get the point.
That's about it, I gotta go eat some bratwursts before I pass out for the night. I miss home.
